Grasseuropa can provide you with a beautiful home lawn, installed in a matter of hours with turf or planted with our specialist machinery.
We have recently added Large Roll Harvesters and Installing Machines to our range of equipment.
These machines enable us to install large areas of turf such as sports fields and residential parks in a short period of time. Turf can be walked on soon after laying.

1) Choose the turf that suits your needs.
2) Loosen the soil on the area you wish to plant to a depth of 7 to 15 cm.
3) Level low spots and make slopes as gentle as possible. Remove stones, sticks and other loose impediments. Before final raking, apply a general fertiliser such at 15 - 15 - 15 at the rate of 1kg per 30m2. Surface should be dry on top and moist underneath.
4) Begin laying the turf along the longest straight edge, stagger the joints as one would in a brick wall. Butt the edges together to avoid gaps as some shrinkage may occur. Use a sharp knife or axe to trim around corners, plant beds etc. Avoid leaving small thin strips along the outer edges as they will not hold the moisture.
5) Soak turf thoroughly after laying, then water daily, keeping turf moist for the first week. Less frequent watering thereafter, approximately once every two nights. Fertiliser should be applied once every two to three weeks. Begin mowing as soon as possible after first week, removing no more than 1/4 of grass heights. Lay the turf quickly for best results.
